Google Play

Google Play wanted to be more than just a default choice on Android phones — they wanted to be a place that users could continuously come back to and discover something new. We worked with them to infuse a little more personality into their voice, and to bring joy and playfulness into even the most useful moments on their app. 

My role:

  • Senior Verbal Design lead on creation of brand guidelines, including voice and messaging platform

  • Wrote illustrative copy across every Google Play touchpoint, from app to ads to in-person executions

  • Worked directly with Google’s marketing teams to craft targeted guidance to keep the brand cohesive everywhere (e.g., direct response, gift card, UX/UI, & experience design teams).
